Today Was The End of Forever
Forever was not nearly as long as I thought it would be

I am walking down a dirt path, I have been for a while now,
[you've always walked it with me,
where are you now?]
I saw the signs: Watch Your Step,
But nothing could tear us down,
Nothing could pry us apart,

Wrong.
One faulty step and I am hanging
From my finger tip.
The dirt is crumbling at the edges,
